• Columbus releases rookie midfielder Yanez

  Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Crew released rookie midfielder Othaniel Yanez on Monday.

  The 22-year-old Yanez, who was selected by the Crew in the fourth round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft out of Louisville, had yet to see action with the club.

  Yanez was selected 61st overall, just three picks from the end of the draft.
