Roush Fenway Racing released an update on Roush's condition on Monday. The 68- year-old is recovering from facial injuries he sustained in a plane crash last week in Oshkosh, WI. There has been no timetable set for his release from the hospital.

Roush was involved in a crash while attempting to land his plane at Wittman Regional Airport. He had flown to Oshkosh for the Experimental Aircraft Association's annual AirVenture air show.

With 36 laps remaining in Sunday's 500-mile race at Pocono, Jimmie Johnson tapped Kurt Busch from behind. Busch hit the outside wall, slid down the track and then spun on the wet, grassy area along the backstretch before plowing into the inside guardrail. It had rained at Pocono prior to the start of the race.

Sadler, who won the inaugural Truck Series race at Pocono on Saturday, got caught up in the accident when he was hit from behind, as he was slowing down to avoid hitting Busch. Sadler slammed head-on into the guardrail after sliding on the grass at a high speed.

Biffle was not a factor for most of the race, but came on strong in the late- stages.

He took the lead from Sam Hornish Jr.

Stewart, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, turned a lap of 171.393 m.p.h. around the 2.5-mile triangular track for his second pole of the season and the 14th of his Cup career. His first pole at Pocono came in July 2000.

Last night, Stewart competed in the All-Star Circuit of Champions sprint car event in Fargo, ND. He arrived at Pocono in the early hours of Friday morning.

Letarte and HMS made the announcement Friday at Pocono Raceway, the site of this weekend's Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500.

"I'm extremely excited," the 31-year-old Letarte said. "Hendrick Motorsports is the only company I've ever received a paycheck from. I've worked here since I was a teenager, and they've provided wonderful opportunities for me. I owe a lot to them. I'm really excited to be extended here so I can go a few more years." HMS promoted Letarte to Gordon's crew chief in September 2005 when then crew chief Robbie Loomis departed the team and took a position with Petty Enterprises.

The title of president has remained vacant since October 2004, when owner Rick Hendrick's brother, John Hendrick, passed away.

Carlson became executive vice president and general manager within the organization on January 24, 2005 and Hendrick Motorsports has since won four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships. He will continue to oversee the day- to-day operations in his expanded role.

Roush was landing his Hawker Beechcraft Premier jet when the crash took place around 6:15 p.m. local time. He was taken to a local hospital and was listed in serious, but stable condition.

He was in town for the annual Experimental Aircraft Association's annual AirVenture.

McMurray, who won the Daytona 500 in February, grabbed the lead from Kevin Harvick after the final restart with 11 laps remaining. He then beat Harvick by 1.4 seconds to become the third driver to win the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 in the same season.

He also gave Ganassi the "triple crown" this year, as Ganassi became the only owner to win the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and the 400-mile race at Indy in the same season.

Montoya edged defending race winner Jimmie Johnson for the pole with a lap of 182.278 m.p.h. The 34-year-old Colombian claimed his second pole of the season and the fourth of his Sprint Cup Series career. Montoya was fastest in both practice sessions on Friday at Indy.

"Our cars have come a long way," Montoya said.

Reutimann and team owner Michael Waltrip made the announcement Friday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the site of this weekend's Brickyard 400. His primary sponsor, Aaron's, will increase its sponsorship with the team from 24 to 30 races in 2010. Aaron's will remain with Reutimann for 30 races in both the 2011 and '12 seasons.

"I'm glad both Michael Waltrip Racing and Aaron's want to keep me around," the 40-year-old Reutimann said. "I've been asked about my contract for the last month, and we've had a handshake agreement, but now it's done, and I'm glad I can finally talk about it. I'm thrilled." Reutimann picked up his second career Sprint Cup victory two weeks ago at Chicagoland.

Reutimann passed Jeff Gordon for the lead with 54 laps remaining and held off Carl Edwards in the closing laps for his first win in a Sprint Cup race that went the scheduled distance. His maiden victory in the series came 42 races ago in the 2009 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, which was shortened by 173 laps due to rain.
