• Ducks sign veteran D Sutton

  Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Andy Sutton to a two-year contract on Monday.

  Sutton, 35, split last season with the Islanders and Senators and totaled five goals and eight assists to go with 107 penalty minutes in 72 games. His 204 blocked shots last year ranked second in the league.

  The 6-foot-6, 245-pound defenseman has appeared in 585 career games with the Sharks, Wild, Thrashers, Islanders and Senators, compiling 35 goals, 101 assists and 1,018 penalty minutes.
