  • Siddikur a playoff winner in Brunei

    Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (Sports Network) - Siddikur parred the first extra hole Sunday to defeat Jbe Kruger and win the Brunei Open.

    Siddikur had closed with a four-under 67, while Kruger posted a five-under 66. They finished at 16-under-par 268 at Empire Hotel and Country Club.

    On the first extra hole, Siddikur made par and it was up to Kruger, who was looking at a 10-footer to extend the playoff. Kruger's putt stayed above ground to give Siddikur the victory.

    Siddikur became the first player from Bangladesh to win on the Asian Tour.

    Juvic Pagunsan fired an eight-under 64 to end alone in third place at 15- under-par 269. Gaganjeet Bhullar closed with a 65 to take fourth at minus-14.
