• Roberts, Skelton under contract

  Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals will head into training camp with their two FCS draft choices, quarterback John Skelton and wide receiver Andre Roberts, signed to four-year contracts.

  Skelton was the Cardinals' fifth-round draft choice out of Fordham, where he set numerous school records, including career marks of 802 completions for 9,923 yards and 69 touchdowns. Although terms of his deal were not revealed, the National Football Post reported the deal to be worth $1.97 million with a signing bonus of around $182,000.

  Roberts, selected in the third round, set career records at The Citadel for receptions (285), receiving yards (3,743) and punt return yards (1,160). The National Football Post reported his signing bonus to be worth about $724,000, and the overall deal around $2.5 million.
