  • Vols' Walls, King reinstated from suspension

Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - University of Tennessee head football coach Derek Dooley announced Tuesday at a press conference that defensive tackle Marlon Walls and linebacker Greg King were reporting back to the team.

The sophomores were suspended indefinitely for their participation in a bar fight in Knoxville last month. Dooley dismissed Darren Myles Jr. in the incident.

Dooley said because the legal process has not been closed, he couldn't talk much about the situation.

However, he said he was comfortable with the discipline Walls and King received, as well as with their attitude and level of remorse.

"I have no qualms whatsoever in bringing them back now," Dooley said. "The only thing that could possibly change is some new information that I had no idea was out there. I don't anticipate it happening.

I'm always a little reserved until you get full closure legally." The Volunteers begin fall camp Wednesday in preparation for their first season under Dooley, who was named head coach in January.
