  • Indiana State seeking OC after Walters' departure

Terre Haute, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana State is conducting a fast search to replace its offensive coordinator after Troy Walters resigned earlier this week to accept the position of wide receivers coach at Texas A&M.

In his only season at Indiana State last year, Walters was in charge of the Sycamores' quarterbacks and wide receivers in addition to his duties as offensive coordinator.

ISU was outscored, 390-99, and shut out four times during a 1-10 campaign.

The Stanford graduate was a wide receiver and return specialist in the NFL from 2000-07 with the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions.

Indiana State begins its season Sept. 4 by hosting St. Joseph's (Ind.).
