• Cobourne, Als crush Argonauts

  Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Avon Cobourne racked up 231 total yards and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns ,as the Montreal Alouettes trounced the Toronto Argonauts, 41-10, at McGill Stadium.

  Cobourne rushed for 115 yards on 20 carries and hauled in eight passes for 116 more yards, as Montreal (4-1) won its fourth game in a row to take over sole possession of the Eastern Division.

  Anthony Calvillo also had a big night for the Als, converting 30-of-36 pass attempts for 394 yards and a pair of scores. Jamel Richardson added two touchdown catches for Montreal, which outscored Toronto, 24-0, in the second half.

  Cleo Lemon threw for 143 yards and had a rushing touchdown for Toronto (3-2), which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Cory Boyd, who entered the game leading the league with 431 rushing yards and 455 yards from scrimmage, was held to just 53 rushing yards on nine carries. He had posted three consecutive 100-yard rushing games.
