• Arena League headed back to Philly

  Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Arena Football League will reportedly return to Philadelphia next spring.

  According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Ron Jaworski will be part of the ownership group of the returning indoor football league squad, but Jon Bon Jovi will not.

  The Philadelphia Soul had been part of the old AFL, winning a championship in 2008, but the league folded in 2009 and returned this spring with a new organization and leadership group.

  A total of 15 teams are playing the 2010 season, but none in the northeast. The closest AFL city to Philadelphia is Cleveland.
