• Crawley given extension at BC

  Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Boston College women's basketball coach Sylvia Crawley has been rewarded with a two-year contract extension through the 2014-15 season.

  Crawley has a record of 40-27 in two seasons with the Eagles. She guided the school to the women's NIT semifinals in the spring of 2009.

  "We are very fortunate to have Sylvia Crawley leading our women's basketball program," said BC athletic director Gene DeFilippo.

  "She is an outstanding recruiter and teacher and has done an outstanding job in her first two seasons.

  The future of our program is very bright and this contract extension is very much deserved." Boston College was 17-15 this past season.
