  • Balanced attack leads Mystics past Shock

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Monique Currie and Katie Smith scored 15 points each to lead six Mystics players in double figures as Washington dumped reeling Tulsa, 87-62, at the Verizon Center.

President Barack Obama and his daughter Sasha sat courtside for the game and saw the Mystics build a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and never look back in their second straight win after three straight losses.

Marissa Coleman came off the bench to add 14 points, a game-high 10 rebounds and four assists for the victors, who also received 11 points from Crystal Langhorne and 10 each from Chasity Melvin and Lindsey Harding.

Tiffany Jackson paced the visitors with 14 points and seven boards, as the Shock shot just 22-for-65 (33.8-percent) in suffering their seventh straight loss and 19th defeat in their last 20 games.
