• Holdsclaw leads Silver Stars past Mystics

  Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Chamique Holdsclaw torched her old team for 17 points and 11 rebounds, leading the San Antonio Silver Stars to a 79-75 victory over the Washington Mystics at Verizon Center.

  Holdsclaw, who played for Washington from 1999-2004, added two steals for the Silver Stars, who had lost three of their last four but still stand in third place in the West.

  Sophia Young and Becky Hammon each added 16 points in the victory.

  Monique Currie scored a game-high 22 points for the Mystics, who have lost three straight and are tied with Connecticut for third place in the East at 13-10. Crystal Langhorne contributed with 18 points and nine boards in defeat.
